BREAKING NEWS!
On Monday we had a visit from The Minister for Education & Deputy Premier of Victoria, James Merlino, to tour our school and see the progress of our new building works. We had numerous special visitors on the day including our local member Marsha Thomson, new candidate for our electorate Katie Hall, Danielle Stella our Senior Education Improvement Leader, the Directors from Grove who are constructing our new building, Enza Angelucci from Angelucci Architects and media representatives. The most exciting part of the visit was when Minister Merlino announced we were receiving $4.3 million to complete Stage 2 of our rebuild. This money will allow us to demolish and rebuild the entire main building. The new facilities will accommodate our Foundation and 1/2 Learning Spaces, Administration, Allied Health, Specialist Programs and our Before & After School Program – Kelly Club. This funding forms part of the Victorian Governments School Asbestos Removal Program, and when complete will mean our school will have no asbestos remaining on site. It is anticipated that the new building will be open early 2019. We will continue to update the school community via our school newsletter & social media sites as we find out more information, including dates, designs, etc.
