Literacy Open Morning – Foundation – 2 – Friday 24th May 9am-11am
Next Friday we are hosting a Literacy open morning where all parents and community members are invited to attend learning spaces to join in literacy activities with your children. We will have information for families on how best to support your child with learning to read and write. Please check your child’s bag for information from your teachers if they are planning a specific activity for the morning.
Positive Behaviour for our Students
Ready, Respectful and Safe are our school values and the standard that we hold ourselves and our students up to each and every day. To help us ensure that all students are arriving and moving through their day Ready, Respectful and Safe with each other, their teachers and people in our community, you could help us by talking to your child about the ways they can show these values in their day to day interactions and friendships. Let us be very clear, students are required to keep their hands and feet to themselves at all times. By working together we can make sure that all students act and feel Ready, Respectful and Safe every day.
NAPLAN – Work-In-Progress
This week has seen the Year 3 and 5 students undertake NAPLAN Writing and Reading. Students reported that they were very calm, and found NAPLAN on the iPads engaging. Students who were absent on these days will participate in make-up sessions on Friday. Thank you for ensuring that your children were calm, relaxed and ready to participate to the best of their ability. Next week we will undertake the NAPLAN Language Conventions and Mathematics tests.
