New Bike & Scooter Racks

On Monday morning, our new rainbow coloured bike and scooter racks were installed. We would love to see students coming to school in an active way, making sure they are wearing the appropriate safety equipment including a helmet. It is still a requirement for students to lock their bike or scooter to the new racks.

Library Learning Centre
It’s great to see students enjoying the Library Learning Centre during class time, also at lunch and recess. Students have been using the space for project work, borrowing and escaping the cold this week. Thanks again to staff and some parent helpers for all their hard work in creating this amazing space for all to enjoy.

Professional Learning
This week our Executive Team, Kris, Sam and Chris have been in Sydney visiting other schools and also attending the EduTECH conference. This conference is an opportunity to learn and deepen their understanding in a variety of areas allowing them to bring back new and inspired ideas to Glengala Primary School.

Farewell Miranda
Next Tuesday 13th June will be Miranda’s last day at Glengala Primary School. Miranda has worked with students in the Urban Farm, running the Levelled Literacy Intervention program with small groups of students and assisted students in various Learning Spaces. We thank Miranda for her time with us and wish her all the best for her next adventure.

Queen’s Birthday Public Holiday
Just a reminder that Monday 12th June students will not be required at school due to it being the Queen’s Birthday Public Holiday. We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday 13th of June.

School Dental Visit – Phase 2
The School Dental van will return from June 13th – June 16th to complete Phase 2 of treatments. Students who required treatments received a letter after their first visit outlining the suggested treatment plan.

Head Lice – they’re back again!
This week it has come to our attention that some students in our school may have head lice and we seek your cooperation in checking your child’s hair. Please check your child’s head and treat if necessary. You should have received some further information about this on Monday.
