Parent Teacher Interviews

Today is the last day to book times for Parent Teacher Interviews which are to be held next Thursday 29th June, 11.45am to 7pm. If you do not make a booking yourself, a booking will be made for you.  Confirmation of your interview times will be sent home on Monday. You are also able to book interpreters via the website to attend interviews to assist with communication.  Students are not required to attend school next Thursday, except to attend their interview.  Please visit www.schoolinterviews.com.au enter the code g952m.

Student semester one reports will be provided at Parent Teacher Interviews on Thursday 29th June where teachers will discuss with you your child’s achievement, learning goals and other relevant areas for discussion.

 Learning for Life

There has been quite a bit of learning happening for staff around Glengala this term. Gaye and Michelle have both attended workshops with Dr Tony Attwood and Sue Larkey on Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  Look through the Newsletter to see Gaye and Michelle’s reflections from their learning.

Leadership Badges

All students who have be awarded positons on leadership committees within the school such as Junior School Council, Green Warriors, ICT Leaders or House Captains were supplied with a badge that they wear with pride every day.  Each student was given a badge at their recognition ceremony at assembly.  They are expected to look after and wear their badge with pride. If a student misplaces their badge a replacement can be purchased from the front office for $8.

School Open Hours and Gate Access

The school grounds are open from 8.30am – 3.30pm.  The office is open each day from 8.30am until 4.30pm and can be accessed via the Kermeen Street entrance, which is the schools front entrance.  Teacher supervision begins at 8.45am and operates at the end of the day till 3.30pm.  Access via the Talintyre Road gate is opened at the beginning of yard supervision at 8.45am and closed just after 9am, reopened approximately 3pm until 3.25pm.  Entry to the school outside of these times is through the Kermeen Street entry.  Kelly Club operate the Mudford Street pedestrian entry for drop off and pick up for students enrolled in the before or after school program.
