State Schools Free Glasses Program for students in Foundation to Year 3 – 26th February
On Monday 26th February we will be visited by a local optometrist who will assess those students in Foundation to Year 3 for vision testing. Information can be requested through the office.
Swimming Carnival Regional
If you have a child who is a member of a swimming squad you may wish to nominate them for the Maribyrnong Division Swimming Sports on Tuesday March 20th at St Albans Leisure Centre. Your child is able to nominate for two individual events. Please see Kris or Sam for more information.
School Sport Victoria Big 4 Trials
School Sport Victoria (SSV) provides the opportunity for talented children to complete a series of trials towards the ultimate goal of achieving selection in a Victorian Representative Team. Students turning 10, 11 or 12 years of age in 2018 are eligible to trial. Children who are ultimately selected during this State-wide process will play in a National Carnival representing Victoria (levies often apply). See SSV website for specific information.
School Council Nominations
Do you wish to have a role in operation of our wonderful school? Nominations are open for school council for 2018. There are vacancies for parent, staff and community representatives. Contact the office for nomination forms and information.
Rebuild Information
The site has been fully cleared now, and we enter the long waiting game as the building is constructed off site. We will be holding information sessions for the community over the next few months. Keep an eye out for further information.
Family Meet and Greet Night
Come and meet your child’s teachers to our family friendly BBQ on Tuesday 20th February 4.30-6pm. There will be a FREE sausage sizzle and corn and drinks and snacks will be available for purchase from the canteen. All Learning Spaces will be open and staff present to discuss their learning programs across the school. If you would like to discuss your particular child’s needs please make a time outside of the BBQ to meet your teachers.
Volunteer and Helpers Information
Would you like to volunteer your time around the school? You can help out in;

- Breakfast Club
- PMP with our Foundation students
- Covering books for the library
All volunteers require a Working With Children check which are free to obtain through www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au . Just present your card or your receipt at the office to register.
Secondary School Transition Information Session
We are running a Parent Information Session for Year 6 families and any other interested families who wish to gather information about students transitioning to secondary school. We are inviting the local secondary schools to be present to answer any questions you may have. The date for this will be announced shortly.
