Parent Opinion Survey

Each year every Victorian government school conducts an opinion survey of 15 per cent of their school community.  Parents are randomly selected to participate and we use the information to inform and direct our future school planning and improvement. If you are one of the randomly selected parents to receive a survey, we would really appreciate you completing and the survey ASAP.  It takes no more than 20 minutes and your feedback and opinions play an important role in making our school the best it can possibly be. The survey this year has moved online, we have laptops available for parents to use if you require them to complete the survey, just drop past the office to access our technology. Families who complete surveys will receive a canteen voucher for each of their children.

School Concert – 31st August

If you haven’t done so already please make sure you keep the evening of Thursday 31st August free as our annual School Concert will take place on the big stage and under the lights at Sunshine College Senior Campus. Our students will soon be busy learning their class songs, with Vanessa in Performing Arts, so you may hear them singing at home – encourage them to practise singing in front of you as an audience!

2018 Enrolments & School Tours

We are currently conducting information sessions for 2018 enrolments. We invite the community to participate in our final information session next Wednesday night at 6pm.  If you have a child due to start in 2018, or know of a child due to start please ensure you complete your enrolment ASAP. We need accurate enrolment numbers to assist with staffing and programming.

Staffing Update

This week we welcomed back Vanessa Freeman from leave. Vanessa has spent the week getting back into school life and reconnecting with staff and students. From next week Vanessa will be teaching Performing Arts and joining Jen in teaching PE & Health.

#GlengalaProud on Twitter

Did you know that our school is on Twitter?  Over the last few years the school and staff have been tweeting about what makes us proud of our school, using the hashtag #GlengalaProud.  Follow us on twitter at @GlengalaPS and then search the #GlengalaProud to see all of the wonderful things which have been celebrated over the last 12 months. If you would like help to join twitter or find us, please drop by the office and we can help you out.

Parents and caregivers are very powerful figures in influencing the behaviours and attitudes of their children. If you have questions, feedback or are experiencing any difficulties please don’t hesitate to give myself or Sam a call, send us an email or come and have a chat.
