RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY and SAFETY
Glengala is a family friendly school which prides itself on the connections staff and students have with our community. Our staff come to work each day to support our children to be their best selves. I am very proud of the work we do here, and the care, commitment and pride our staff show in our children. I am asking for your help to ensure that we remain a community who embodies our Values and demonstrates these towards staff, students, parents and community members at all times. We thank our wonderful community for all you do to support us in the work we do, and in support of the learning of our young people. You are their first and best role models!

ROAD SAFETY
We remind parents of the importance of road safety around schools at drop off and pick up times. It is very important to use the pedestrian crossings, using responsible road safety skills such as Stop, Look and Listen, Look Left, Right and Left Again before crossing. This week classes have been referring to these strategies to support students to act responsibly around traffic and roads. Please help us by demonstrating these skills to your students at pick up and drop off times. When driving your car please observe the 40km and 20km speed limits which are in force around all schools, as well as observe the parking signs. Parents have been booked recently for not observing these signs so please be vigilant and demonstrate our school values of Respect, Safety and Responsibility at all times around the school.

ATHELTICS CARNIVAL FEEDBACK 3-6
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the 3-6 athletics carnival in Newport last week. Grant and Rita were very impressed with the behavior and efforts of our students, and although no-one was successful in reaching the regionals it was a clear #GlengalaProud day for all!
