Whole School Concert – TONIGHT

A reminder we have our whole school concert at Sunshine Secondary College Senior Campus auditorium on Graham St TONIGHT. This concert is free and doesn’t require a ticket so we hope to see lots of our community on the night. Please arrive from 5.45pm for a 6pm start. I know students have been rehearsing for many weeks so I look forward to seeing them perform up on the big stage under lights on the night.

Concert Supervision

Parents are required to attend concert with their children.  Students must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the concert.  No students can be dropped off, or left unattended.  Students are required to sit with their Learning Space teachers once they have been signed in by a parent in the auditorium. Students are then required to be signed out by a parent at the conclusion of the concert. Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this.

2018 Enrolments

Enrolments for 2018 Prep students are now being taken. If you have any children who will be attending Glengala in 2018 or know of any families of prep age children, please call or visit the school to receive enrolment information as soon as possible. It is important for planning purposes that all 2018 Prep students are enrolled as soon as possible.

Tours available every Thursday at 9.15am or at a time that suits you. Ph. 9311 7810

Supervision in the Yard

A reminder that teachers do not begin Yard Supervision until 8.45am, in line with the current employment agreement with the Department of Education.  This means that students arriving earlier than this time will not be supervised in the yard, and are instead expected to book in and attend our Before School Care program conducted by Kelly Club. Our FREE Breakfast Club program starts at 8.30am in the canteen foyer. Similarly, students remaining at school after 3.30 pm will be directed to the After School Care program.  Costs for Kelly Club are very reasonable, and enrolment forms are available from the Parent & Community room, the school office, or online.

Swimming Program

Thank you to the many families who have returned permission notes and paid for our 2017 Swimming Program. We are pleased to say that the program has over 130 of our students attending the 2 week program at Sunshine Leisure Centre. Tomorrow is the final day swimming permission notes can be returned so that planning for the 2 week program can be finalised.

Parents and caregivers are very powerful figures in influencing the behaviours and attitudes of their children. If you have questions, feedback or are experiencing any difficulties please don’t hesitate to give myself or Sam a call, send us an email or come and have a chat.
