Swimming Program

Next week begins our fortnight swimming program, which will run daily till the end of term. Swimming can be a very tiring program for students and we appreciate your support with this by ensuring students maintain good sleep, attendance and healthy eating habits.  Those students who are not participating in the program will remain at school.  Bus departure times will be strictly adhered to due to the timing of lessons, so please ensure prompt attendance at school.  The canteen will operate a rotating service for students over the next 2 weeks to allow for the different time schedules.  Learning Space teachers will supervise alternate play times for students who miss the lunch break.  The swimming schedule is as follows;

Learning Space Time Leaving Time Returning (approx.)

Year 1 and 2 9am 11am

Prep 9.30am 11.45am

Year 5 and 6 10.20am 12.40am

Year 3 and 4 11.15am 1.30pm

Please ensure bathers, dry towel and appropriate changes of underwear and clothes are supplied daily.  Girls hair tied back in firm plaits and braids are helpful for management of long hair styles.

Concert – Great Night

Thank you for your support with concert last week.  It was an enjoyable evening for our students.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and concert volunteers, who worked on preparing for the night.  We also thank Sunshine College for providing us with the venue.

Recent spate of Illness

We would like our community to be vigilant with the recent bouts of cold’s and flu’s.  If your child is unwell and requires rest and recuperation at home please call our office after 8.30am to log their absence.

Camp Years 3-6

Our campers left for camp yesterday. We have heard that they are having a wonderful, yet muddy, time.  They are scheduled to return at approximately 2.30pm Friday.  Please note that families will be updated via our Facebook and Twitter social media pages, the school stream app and large Tallintyre Rd signage when approximate arrival times are identified.

Assembly and Open Hour

Due to many students and staff being on camp this week we will be postponing assembly for this week.

Open Hour from 2.15-3.15pm will still operate and we look forward to you coming and sharing this time with us to see what we have all been learning this week.

2018 Enrolments & School Tours

We are currently finalising our 2018 enrolments. If you have a child due to start in 2018, or know of a child due to start please ensure you complete your enrolment ASAP. This includes children enrolling at ANY year level of the school. We need accurate enrolment numbers to assist with staffing and programming.
