BounceBack! Social and Emotional Learning Program

We are very pleased to announce that all learning spaces this term have begun implementing the Bounce-Back! Social and Emotional Learning Program. Bounce Back! is an award-winning wellbeing and resilience class-based program for children and young people. Bounce Back! offers practical strategies to help children and young people function well at school and in life. It is a whole school social and emotional learning curriculum program that promotes positive mental health, wellbeing and resilience for students and teachers plus safe and supportive class and school learning environments. There is a strong focus on circle time,
cooperative learning approaches & educational games to build positive relationships, positive emotions and teach social-emotional skills. You are welcome to speak to myself, or your child’s teachers for further information about BounceBack!

Friday Open Hour – Recycling Week
This week our focus for our Friday Open Hour, from 2.15 – 3.15 pm, is Recycling Week. Learning Spaces will be investigating ways that we can Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, to help look after our environment. Open Hour provides parents, family and friends with an insight in to the teaching and learning undertaken in our Learning Spaces. Our teachers and students love the opportunity of share their learning with you, and look forward to your visits to our school. You are welcome to attend and stay for the whole hour, or for any part of the session you are able to attend. You do not need to sign in at the office to attend any of our Open Hour activities.

Uniform
A reminder that correct school uniform – including school hat – must be worn at school at all times, unless a written note has been provided to explain why your child is out of uniform. Students should not be wearing tops underneath their school tops, unless these are a plain navy or light blue colour. Many students have been wearing tops, such as soccer or music group tops, underneath their polo shirts or tshirts, with the bottom part hanging below the bottom of their school top. Students who wear these tops will be directed to remove the non-uniform top. Please ensure that your child wears only approved school uniform each day.

If you have any questions, feedback or are experiencing any difficulties, please do not hesitate to give Kris or myself a call, send an email or come in and have a chat.
