Glengala Gazette – Issue #32

Planning for 2017 is well and truly underway. We are excited to be able to continue our focus on teaching students at their individual points of need. We will continue our focus on literacy and numeracy with a strong focus on reading development with Levelled Literacy Intervention, making our learning visible and parent support. Student welfare will continue to focus on Positive Behaviour approaches including our Social Skills Program – Bounce Back, our School Wide Positive Behaviour Matrix, Bee Three & Student Awards and Student Leadership opportunities while supporting mental health and wellbeing through the KidsMatter initiative. We will be building upon successful school events including the school concert, sports carnival, swimming program, urban farm, book buzz, library & lego club and robotics & coding clubs. We will continue to provide Before and After School care along with Holiday Programs through our partnership with Kelly Club. We will also continue to provide FREE breakfast for every student in our school from 8.30am every morning.

We ask if you have a child or know of someone with a child due to commence school in 2017 or would like to transfer to our school in 2017 please collect and complete an enrolment form as soon as possible. Additionally if you know your child is not returning to Glengala in 2017 (other than current Year 6 students), please notify the school as soon as possible.  Notification is required in writing to the office, not verbally through Learning Space teachers.
