Bunnings BBQ – Urgent Volunteers Needed for Saturday 17th November
With just over one week until our next Bunnings BBQ fundraiser we require parent helpers to support us by volunteering sometime in the afternoon of Saturday 17th November. Half of the proceeds raised will go towards supporting our Graduation celebrations. Please come and see us in the office to volunteer to help raise funds for our great school.

Book Fair
Next week we are holding our Book Fair. Each morning and afternoon you will be able to visit the Book Fair which will be housed in the main building. Remember a percentage of book sales are returned to the school so that we can purchase more books to grow our beautiful library.

Foundation – Year 2 Sleepover and Melbourne Museum Excursion Celebration
Well, it was a fantastic night had by all at our annual Sleepover. A huge thank you to the parent helpers who came and helped out with preparing food, cooking the BBQ and helping to make sure our students were well feed, and supported our staff. You helped make it great! A big thanks to our staff who gave up their personal time to make this event happen for our students. Well done to the Foundation to Year 2 teams for organising a great day and night; Nikki, Milly, Keith, Louise, Rania and Kate and to Diana, Elise, Kris, Angela and Sam who volunteered their own time to support the teams.

Rebuild Information
We are still in a holding pattern for further information on Stage 2 of our rebuild. We will let you know as soon as we have information to share.

COMPASS
We have access to a fantastic online communication tool COMPASS which enables us to have a 1-stop-shop for our school-home communication needs. If you don’t already have access to COMPASS, feel free to come to the office and ask for your unique username and password for access. End of year student reports will be made available directly through COMPASS during the last week of term. If you require a printed report, you will need to request this through the office before the end of term.

Foundation 2019 Transition Tuesday 13th November
Next Tuesday we have our next Foundation Transition session starting at 2.15pm for our 2019 Foundation students and families. We pride ourselves on one of the most supportive and extensive transition programs available in our network, offering free sessions and initial school engagement assessments. Bookings are advised. If you know someone who is still considering their options for school for 2019, please encourage them to make contact with our school as soon as possible.

Planning for 2019
We are currently finalising staffing and resource placement for 2019. In order to plan and prepare appropriately we need to know if you are planning on moving house, or are aware of new students intending on coming to Glengala who have not yet been to visit us. Please let us know, as soon as possible, if you are aware of any changes to your circumstances that may affect your child’s enrolment.

2019 Enrolments & School Tours
Enrolment Tours are every week Thursday 9.15am. Please call the office to book a place.

As always, if you have any concerns or celebrations you wish to share please come and see myself or Kris any time.
