Easter Raffle Donations and Out of Uniform Day TOMORROW!!!!
Tomorrow we have an out of uniform day where students are asked to bring Easter Eggs to include in our Easter Raffle as prizes. If you’re unable to bring some Easter Eggs/Bunnies students can still come out of uniform however are required to bring a gold coin. Please drop off any donations to the office.
The Easter Raffle will be drawn on Wednesday 28th March in the last week of school for the term. Raffle books will come home with each student next week. We will have special prizes for the families who sell the most raffle tickets.
School Council Nominations
Nominations remain open for the positions of parent representatives on the 2018 Glengala Primary School Council. There are four parent vacancies on the Council with the term of office from March 2018 to February 2020. If you are interested, please refer to the document sent home and included further down in the newsletter which provides all the information you will require to complete the nomination process or come and have a chat. Nominations must be received by completing the form at the office by 12pm – Monday 5th March.
Swimming Carnival Regional
If you have a child who is a member of a swimming squad you may wish to nominate them for the Maribyrnong Division Swimming Sports on Tuesday March 20th at St Albans Leisure Centre. Your child is able to nominate for two individual events. Please see Kris or Sam for more information.
School Sport Victoria Big 4 Trials
School Sport Victoria (SSV) provides the opportunity for talented children to complete a series of trials towards the ultimate goal of achieving selection in a Victorian Representative Team. Students turning 10, 11 or 12 years of age in 2018 are eligible to trial. Children who are ultimately selected during this State-wide process will play in a National Carnival representing Victoria (levies often apply). See SSV website for specific information.
Rebuild Information – Work Continuing
There will be final clearance works undertaken on Saturday on site to remove soil and clean the site in preparation for continuing works.

Would you like to volunteer your time around the school? You can help out in;
- Our learning spaces
- Breakfast Club
- PMP with our Foundation students
- Covering books for the library
All volunteers require a Working With Children check which are free to obtain through www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au . Just present your card or your receipt at the office to register.
Secondary School Transition Information Session – Victoria University
Victoria University Secondary College are holding an information evening for 2019 Year 7 on Tuesday 20th March 6pm-7.30pm, at the Deer Park campus. For more information, contact Victoria University Secondary College.
