Florence joined our school after successfully completing her training through the Dogs Connect Wellbeing Dog Program in 2022. She works alongside trained staff to help create a calm, welcoming and positive school environment where students feel safe, connected and ready to learn.

As our Wellbeing Dog, Florence helps to foster a positive school culture by:

• Providing a calm and comforting presence around the school.
• Helping students feel welcomed and connected.
• Encouraging positive interactions and respectful relationships.
• Supporting student engagement during reading, learning and wellbeing activities.
• Promoting emotional regulation by encouraging students to pause, relax and reset.
• Building confidence and encouraging positive social connections.
• Contributing to a warm, inclusive and caring school environment.

Whether she's greeting students in the morning, joining a classroom activity, listening to a student read, or simply offering a quiet moment during the day, Florence brings smiles wherever she goes. Her gentle nature helps create opportunities for connection, kindness and belonging across our school.
